Session One

Meet fellow change leaders and their cases

Meet your fellow participants and share the change scenario each of you want to make in the world.  Learn the history and importance of Step 1 – The Dialogue Puzzle and why it is the hardest of all the steps for most people.  Prioritize participant case scenarios and learn to apply Step 2 – Diagnose Issues to one of the shortlisted cases.  Role plays will embed steps 1 and 2 and participants will receive invaluable feedback on how to become a better change leader.  

Session Two

Diagnose & Understand People

Review Steps 1 & 2 then dive into Step 3 Diagnosing Stakeholders by learning about Relationship Awareness Theory and self-selecting into three groups to bring the theory alive.  This session will profoundly change your understanding of people.  You will learn what makes them tick, where most conflicts arise, and how to change what you say and how you say it to better influence different people.  Role plays will embed steps 1, 2 and 3 and participants will receive invaluable feedback on how to become a better change leader.  

Session Three

Which is the best approach for your scenario?

Review  Steps 1, 2, 3 and then jump into Step 4 Choose Approach to learn the variety of approaches available depending on your change scenario.  This is where you learn the elements of successful dialogue, and how to prepare for tough meetings which may involve conflict.  Role plays will embed steps 1-4 and participants will receive invaluable feedback on how to become a better change leader.  

Session Four

How to keep control after you begin?

Review Steps 1-4 and then jump into the toughest step for many, Step 5 Start Talking where you will learn about managing negotiation stages, controlling emotions and using pauses and other tactics to keep control of the process while achieving your objectives.  A final role play and game will embed steps 1-5.  Participants will receive invaluable feedback on how to become better change leaders and discuss how to continue learning and growing in your leadership journey after the workshop.
